JOSSE DE PAUW
ÜBUNG/het concert
film & music & theatre

üBUNG is a film by Josse De Pauw and Koen Gisen about a group of adult friends who have almost everything life has to offer, but that still does not seem enough. During a ‘friends dinner’ and under the influence of a fair amount of drink, their carefully constructed social status begins to come apart at the seams. In the original version of üBUNG, the film was acted out ‘live’ by six young teenagers. In üBUNG /the concert, the focus is on the dialogue between film and music. On the stage this time are four musicians, conducted by Pierre Vervloesem, who have been inspired by the film to create a concert.
